Sahaj Takneek provides web development services — websites, WooCommerce stores, and Android apps. This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for advance payments, project fees, and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC). It should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions.

Cancelling before work starts

If you cancel after paying the 50% advance but before we’ve begun any work on your project, the advance is refunded in full, minus any payment gateway transaction fee already deducted by the gateway.

Cancelling during a project

Once work has begun, the advance is non-refundable, as it covers the time and resources already committed to your project.

• If you cancel partway through, you’re responsible for paying for any work completed beyond what the advance already covers.
• If the value of work completed is less than the advance paid, we do not refund the difference — the advance covers our time reserved and work started on your project, not just hours logged.

AMC cancellation

Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) are billed yearly. You can choose not to renew at any time — there’s no obligation to continue.

If you cancel an active AMC partway through the year, the fee already paid for that year is non-refundable, since it’s billed as an annual plan rather than month-to-month.

Failed or duplicate payments

If a payment fails but an amount was still deducted from your account, or if you’re accidentally charged twice for the same invoice, let us know and we’ll verify it with our payment gateway and refund the incorrect amount — this isn’t subject to the cancellation terms above, since no service is being cancelled.

How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used, and typically reflect within 7–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider’s own processing time.
